stow, Ohio | Extended family session | Trowbridge family


I’m so thrilled to blog about this backyard Stow, Ohio Extended Family session with you today! When Naomi from the Trowbridge Family reached out about getting a full family photo for her mother-in-law, I was touched to be able to help! There’s something so beautiful about Extended Family sessions. Rarely do they happen! When you have a family this size, 21 to be exact, it's hard to get them all in one place AND all looking and smiling at the same time.


Stow, Ohio Extended Family Session


With all the rain that happened this spring we almost had to reschedule this session twice! However, the day we took the photos had pockets of rain free moments so we kept the date and time. What do you know? It stopped raining! We gathered the whole family outback for a big family, backyard photo - and quick! They all listened to me as I ran around telling people where to go, trying hard to remember everyone's names and only messing up once! They were wonderful, and laughed as I stepped back into a small puddle and sang that my shoe was slowly filling with water :D


We ended up getting a shot of everyone looking great AND we were able to break out each family for individual shots in FIFTEEN minutes! These guys were on top of it. It's a good thing, too, because right as we finished up the rain fell... and it fell hard!


To the Trowbridge Family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your obviously blessed family! You can see the obvious joy and love you all share, and it was great getting to know you, even for a short - avoid the rain - session. I can’t wait to see how your family continues to grow!
